On February 27^th to 28^th 2019, Chalmers University of Technology, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Institute for Communications Engineering of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) organized a workshop on error correcting codes for high data rate applications.
This workshop was stimulated by the EPIC presentations at the ISTC conference in Hong Kong (December 2018), where the EPIC consortium emphasized the importance of implementation for very high throughput.
EPIC partners University of Kaiserslautern and Institut Mines télécom Atlantique attended the workshop and gave presentations on Turbo codes for Tb/s communications, namely code design and hardware architecture. In addition, a poster on Design and low-complexity decoding on non-binary turbo codes was presented.
